Lots to be thankful for

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that is celebrating.. I hope it is a wonderful thanksgiving. I know that this year I have a lot to be thankful for... including this really expensive piece of metal in my chest. It has been a long year with heart issues... and I am thankful that today things are going pretty well. It was just two years ago that I sat in the hospital on thanksgiving unable to enjoy a single bite of turkey dinner. I hope everyone takes the time to be thankful this year for all that they have. I sure hope my pacemaker can keep up with my turkey consuming abilities this year!

Thankful

Well, I had to work on Thanksgiving so I'm thankful for the job and my pacemaker! My turkey consuming ability was limited though (had only 20 minutes for lunch at work) to a Healthy Choice turkey medallion tv dinner and a diet Coke. I was "thankfullest" to be able to actually sit down for 20 minutes. Aren't we blessed to have this wonderful technology to make our hearts better? Life sure is more enjoyable all around. Happy Thanksgiving! Lenora

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
