"flat" heart rate

So I went in for my second visit with this new cardiologist (fired the first one). He was very perplexed by my readings. I am still having a fair amount of activity intolerance with feeling like I am exhausted from walking very short distances. I know that I am still having a lot of racing of the upper chamber. They are trying to get my PM programmed right so that he can catching these episodes and record them so he can see what I am doing before and after the tachycardia. Him and his tech sort of sighed and described my trends as being flat. What exactly is that suppose to mean? I do have a copy of my readings. My last cardiologist described my trends as blunted. I have no idea what either of them is saying. He asked me if I felt like my heart rate would go up if I exercised, which certainly it does but I swear it is faster than the speed of light as it goes up very rapidly and drops pretty rapidly. He then asked me about rate response. So I think he is thinking I have no variability in my heart rate and is wondering if it does respond to activity. It is hard to describe what my trends look like. My rates are set from 70-110 and then i mode switch at 130. I am estimating that there is a small line (like maybe 5%) between 60-70, then a big line between 70-80 (like 85%) and then again small line for each 80-90, 90-100, and 100-120. The graph looks the same for both atria and ventricle Does this make any sense to someone out there that he seen their reports? What is "blunted" or "flat" suppose to mean? I am guessing, like I said, that it is that my heart rate is not variable at all. Why would this? My atria works great (well ok other than the enormous amount of tachycardia) and if it wasnt for the fact that my lower rate is set at 70 I dont believe I would be paced much at all in the atria. I am sure somewhere on this report is a number of percentage that it paces in each, but I cant find it or cant tell which one it is. I do know that I mode switched 82 times in a month. And I have some statistics of atrial high rate episodes. Anyone help me to understand this??

settings: DDD rate 70-110 (now 115 since we went up by 5)

The only thing I wonder is if your rate reponse is on or off. My heart didnt seem to respond to activity until the rate response was switched on, I felt so much better almost immediately and feel that I'm now becoming a lot fitter.

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
