Laser Eye Surgery - complete success

Hi to everyone, I posted a couple of weeks ago as I was having trouble finding a laser eye surgeon who would operate on me as I have a pacemaker. I just wanted to update you and let you know that I successfully had the surgery a week ago, it was completely painless (much less stressful than having the pacemaker fitted!) and now one week on I have better than 20;20 vision and am thrilled with the results. I used a company called Accuvision who are based in Fulham, London. They were fab, gave me the laser frequency on the telephone before my consultation so that I could email this to my pacemaker clinic. The pm clinic then sent it on to Switzerland (St Jude Pacemaker) who confirmed that it was completely safe for me to go ahead. On the consultation day, the matron at the laser eye clinic made a phone call to the pacemaker clinic to confirm that they were all happy to go ahead. It was so simple and I had none of the hurdles that I had experienced with Ultralase. I found that the bigger companies are happy to take your money but don't want to actually do anything other than book you in for surgery and they really don't want the hassle of a person with a pacemaker. If anyone wants any further information please pm me as I am happy to go into more detail.

Thanks for reading
Helen

I'm very happy for you, you must be so relieved! It's nice when you find competent and professional people. Congratulations!

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker interferes with your electronic scale.
