Do you feel like you got the flu?

I was just curious if anyone else wakes up feeling like they got the flu? This has been happening to me about every week or two for some reason. I did have a mild infection in my pouch a few weeks back but had taken antibiotics to clear it up, but I still have mornings when I feel like I have the flu, then it will clears up in a few hours, then I just kinda feel like crap for most of the day. Most other days I feel great though. Is this pretty common 2 months after surgery?

Feeling bad

It ain't common to feel that way after pacemaker surgery for most of us, but nothing is ever the same for all people getting a pacemaker. The first thought that came to mind was are you taking a beta blocker or other heart medications? They are famous for making some people feel that way.

Hope you get to feeling better,

No meds

I do not take any kind of heart meds other then just have the pacemaker. I was having terrible headaches, but those seem to be getting better with time. I see the EP in a few weeks, I will have to see if he thinks there is anything wrong when I go to see him. Them turning on rate response a few weeks ago made me feel alot better than before that. I was having episodes of sweating alot when I walked and also climbing steps made me feel like my heart was beating fast, but those went away with the rate response setting being turned on.

Thanks

Statins

Do you take any of the statin durgs for lowering cholestrol. They can have that type of affect but it is usually all the time. I have not been able to take any of the statins and was strictly on niaspan (2000 mg / day) to get my cholestrol down but the flushing can get bad sometimes. My doctor put me back on crestor (5 mg ever other day) and even that caused my muscles to ache although it was tolerable. I started taking co Q 10 2 weeks ago and it sure has helped. If you are taking any statins you might want to take to your doctor about them or it could be another medication. Never had any problems like that with my pacemaker and I have had mine for 6-1/2 years now.

Good luck tom

Thanks, all I take is Zyrtec for allergies. I do not take any other meds. Unless maybe Zyrtec has this effect also. I am not sure. I will have to talk to my EP about it when I see him.

Maybe same condition as I have

OLD AGE

Seriously, I've had that sort of thing for several years. If I just grab a glass of orange juice and head for the hot tub it seems to clear up. Like yours it comes and goes. I just realize it's been about 2 weeks since I had it.

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
