Cleveland Clinic

Does anyone know who I would get in touch with to get an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland? I have been having problems with Vtach and PVCs after my 2nd pacemaker in a year, and no one has been able to help me here in Pittsburgh, and I was told I should go to the Cleveland Clinic. I have been off work alot in the past 2 years, and it has been financially struggling for me, and I need to find help to get back into shape & back into regular life again. Thanks in advance.

Jim

When I had all my heart problems, my dr. said go to Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic. I was told it was very hard to get in right away, ( up to a 2 year wait) unless recommended by a doctor. I was able to get into Mayo within 5 weeks, because my doctor got involved. So I would say ask your doctor to call

Maybe I can help you

I've been receiving treatment at Cleveland Clinic for about 4 years and it's been a wonderful experience. I live in Puerto Rico and traveled there because my cardiologist recommended it. It wasn't hard at all to get the appointment; I just had to wait a few months, but it was totally worth it! If you want, I can give you the info of my electrophysiologist's office and you can contact her directly. Just let me know.

Try Emory in Atlanta

Emory has a great electro physiologist.; He did an ablation on a woman we know who had sever Vtach. He took care of my 33% PVC rate w/ meds & my already implanted PM. Reduced them to near zero in a week.

Try contacting them at 770-886-0003. That's the sub clinc That I go to.

Good luck.

I'm late as usual!

As usual, I'm arriving late to this party and I am sure you have already made your appointment at The Cleveland Clinic. Just in case you haven't, I will add my two cents.

I too am a patient at the Cleveland Clinic Heart Insitute and I am extremely pleased with the care I have gotten there (I went to the CC because I had a cardio in North Carolina who was a total idiot). If you have not already called and gotten an appointment, I will advise you to look at your schedule and determine "when" and "what date" you want an appointment----- they will get you in the very next day if you like or, at a time you so desire. they are very accommodating at Cleveland.

If you have insurance or not is not important because they have a financial assistance program that is easy to apply for (only 2 pages long) and it will help with any out-of-pocket expenses you have. So talk with someone in the financial assistance office about it.

My cardio is Bruce Lindsay and he is a real peach of a doctor!!! He is the type of doctor every patient should have. Call the front desk at: (216) 444-7583 to make an appointment. I would really recommend my cardio but they all work as a great team.

Sorry I didnd't respond earlier. You will enjoy the medical experience at the CC! I would recommend the University Hotel just down the street from the clinic for a nice place to stay while you're there. They have a free shuttle service to and from the hotel and their rate is very reasonable. Otherwise, parking is about $6/hr. depending on which garage you use. If you would like any additional information, please feel free to email me.
