My new backpack leaf blower instructions say to check with Dr. before operating if I have a pacemaker. What have been your experiences with using a backpack leaf blower?

Id be careful with them its the magnetic field that the motors generate from my understanding of it which could affect the settings. I would as jim said contact your doctor or manufactor of your pm better safe than sorry. They have greatly improved the pms over the years, but I wouldnt use it until you contact one or the other or both.
leaves are natural compost for yards lol

Engines

From what I understand, any type of engines need to be 12 inches to several feet away from the pacemaker. My book shows lawnmowers, but I am sure you would have to watch the EMI from the leaf blower as well.
