1ST CHRISTMAS

My first Christmas with my new pacemaker has come and gone. Aside from now being able to feel my pacemaker "pace", life has been good. I just want to wish everyone health and happiness in 2010. I am reminded often that a pacemaker really isn't that bad - just think of the alternative....and it really is true. I was fortunate to have been picked up by paramedics who insisted I go to the hospital and to have received such great care in emergency. My pacemaker was implanted the day after I flatlined 4 times. I was in the right place at the right time for the wrong thing to happen. Best wishes everyone!!!

You're right. As much as I dislike having this PM I know it's for the better. My symptoms and problems weren't nearly as serious as yours but I have to hand it to the paramedics. They wouldn't take "NO" for an answer. They practically dragged me into the ambulance. They certainly don't seem to get as much credit as they deserve.
Good Luck and Happy Pacing,
Bob
