Recent surgery

Hi, i,m new to his site and have enjoyed reading all the messages. I,m a young fit 45 yr old and have recently walked the moonwalk in london. While training and power walking up and down many steep hills,I had a few blipps with my heart. After the moon walk my neighbour insisted I go for a check up.Now to cut a long story short I have a dual chamber pace maker !!!. fitted four weeks ago. Well i,m feeling better now but I never realised just how painful it would be, and the wound site still kills and is quite swollen. Does anyone else find that the pm sticks out a mile ?

How much...

The sticking out part really depends on how much "padding" you have in that area. If you are fit and have relatively low body fat, it's going to stick out pretty well, unless it's a sub-pectoral implant.

Mine sticks up around 3/8" on most of the edge facing my shoulder, well enough to see it through most t-shirts. It bothers me, so I simply keep it covered up.

PM sticks out

I had my pacemaker put in 2002. Being a thin tall women my pacemaker sticks out. Too bad I have more padding in the lower half ! Nothing is wrong, you are just thin or no fat in the area.

You know you're wired when...

You invested in the Energizer battery company.
