I can be a bit of a "space cadet"

I never thought that I was a "space cadet" but today I really have to wonder about myself. Here is what happened....

As some of you know, I am a graphic artist and I have a small print shop. Sometimes I have to order materials for clients from other sources. Today a big box arrived via UPS. It wasn't scheduled to arrive until next Monday, but it appeared today. I had not a clue as to what was in the package. So I began to struggle with the tape and cardboard holding it against my chest, struggling with the wrappings. I'm not a very large person so I really had to hold onto the box while I continued to try to get it open. I noticed that I was beginning to feel very dizzy, a bit nauseated and very "spacey". Much to my amazement the package finally opened and what in the heck was I holding? Well of course... Two 18" x 24" MAGNETS! I put them down on my desk and backed away... giggling and feeling so dizzy. After a few min, I began to feel better and more like myself so I moved the car magnets across the office and phoned the client to come by and pick them up... the sooner the better. ;)

Note to self... Read the invoice carefully before opening any packages and leave the car magnet boxes for hubby to handle. Just another day in the life of a "space cadet".

Cheers!

p.s. I am fully recovered and feel fine. If fact, went to a halloween party tonight dressed up as a Saloon Girl with hubby as Marshall Dillon! hehe

You were just dizzy with your new found Magnetic Personality. Are you now a north pole or south pole?

Having met you in person, no comment on whether you're a space cadet :oP

I did that once, too, with a box of magnetic business cards. Oopsie! Why is it we feel the need to hug a box to open it?! If we just cut the tape with a knife like a normal person it wouldn't have been an issue lol

haha!

Ok, I was not thinking about who has actually met me on this site... however I can be a little silly every once in awhile. I have a box of 500 magnets arriving next week and I have no intention of holding them close to any part of myself. I don't think I will forget again.

Today my husband came by my offfice for a visit and could not believe the weight and size of the Car Door size magnets! They are big and heavy duty!

I calming stated.... "Nothing but the best" he he/

Have a great pumpkin weekend all///

It's easy to forget where the magnets are. I have some old LEGO magnets, back when they put cylindrical magnets in the holes in the bottom. I had a bunch of them on the door to my freezer, coincidentally arranged in a square with an open center (gee, what ICD-related device does this resemble?). Well, cleaning the cupboards one day surprised me when I started beeping. Those are some of the details they don't always tell a person when getting these devices. It was no help that I don't have any memory of the post-implantation instructions from the first time....

You know you're wired when...

You play MP3 files on your pacer.

My ICD/pacer is not a burden. I still play tennis and golf.
