Support??? Anyone??? :D

Ok people, I have just come back from my first yoga class in about 6 years. That's right, I have not been in a exercise class for about 6 years. I have exercised some like walking, riding my bike and some trips to the YMCA, but nothing serious. I have to tell you... I can hardly move my right leg. My hip hurts so bad that I went to straight to hot bath and then when I got out I applied some deep heat to my hip. So here I sit.... in agony. ugh. lol

The pain in my hip over shadowed the light headed feeling I had when I was doing the downward dog! I can't hardly believe that I have allowed myself to slip into this sad state of physical shape. But, I will not quit! I will continue to try to stretch, to gain some balance and to become more flexible and strong. As long as I am not too dizzy when my head is down and my behind is up in the air! lol

Anyway would anyone like to join me in my quest to become stronger? Care to share what you are doing this winter to regain your strength, loose some weight or just get healthier? I could use some friendly support. Thanks in advance, Just message me or post here.

Exercise:)

I too just started exercising again......but mine is called "dog on a leash", it doesn't require butt up in the air or any risk of getting lightheaded....LOL

I'm sitting here giggling, yes, at your expense, cuz I can picture you in my mind giving it ALL that you had in class - but not thinking of the price you would pay when you got home.

But seriously Pacergirl, I've always thought of joining a yoga class because it looks so easy.......but through stories just like yours, I think I'll just stick to "dog on a leash".

I applaud you however....keep going!!!!

I am to the point I need to lose weight before I exercise. so I am cutting down. I am doing better okay. I do only range of motion. but I have lost 2 pounds and need to lose 10 more then I will be out walking.

I use soothanol x2 for instant pain relief of joint and muscle pain. the DMSO criies the pain relievers right to the pain immediately. it only takes one drop and since it is so expensive it is good it doesn't take more. I love it and since it contains menthol which acts like aspirin to coumadin users I use an eyedrop to dispense it.
Best Wishes,

Hey Pacergirl!

I'm a yoga fan myself! My best friend is a Yogi and brought me into the practice nearly 3 years ago. I took the last 5 months off and wow have I felt totally different. My body aches in places I didn't know it could ache. I started yoga again a few weeks ago after my surgery and I already feel better! The first couple times I felt just like you - I thought I had broken something I hurt so badly!! I'll totally join you on this journey. How should we all keep in touch with progress?

Thanks!

Thanks for joining me ladies!

I think walking the dog is a very good thing. As soon as it warms up some I will have my "Lady" out walking with me too. She is an old dog, but very loyal and loving.

I didn't sleep so well last night.... I kept waking up with the awful pain in my hip! Please, please I tell myself that it will get easier and there are benefits in this "exercise" torture! LOL!!! :D

Please keep in touch!

for making a start, I am like Pookie, dog on a lesh, and even then it is not often. It is summer time here now, so
must start walking across beach, I am sure dog will be pleased to get out a bit more. You have motivated me to get back into the excersie so will keep in touch and see if we keep it up.

All the best
Jane
