Thanks for your many comments/advice to my previous questions this morn (10/6) re: my new PM on 10/2. Thank you also to the ones who helped me out with making my "comments" more readable and understandable. My bad habits over many moons were to type in caps and do "squiggles ~ " of the words needing to be stressed/broken up and I will try to correct the bad habit I have. I can not promise I can keep my comments short though. LOL. Thanks to all of you. Now, I have a question to ask this eve. My ankles/feet are swelling a whole lot, really a whole lot today and tonight. Do you think it is alright to wait until this Fri. for my Dr. appt. or is this to be concerned with like in calling Dr. tomorrow a.m.? I do not know if this has anything to do with the new ablation/PM or not. Should I be worried over the swelling? I had some swelling before the PM/ablation, but I thought it was gone. Thank you again for all your comments. Carolyn G.

call

When in doubt, make the call! Not to sound like a cliche, but better safe than sorry.

No, I don't think it is ok to wait until Friday to tell the Dr. about your swelling. I could be any number of things going on. I won't list them, but please, please call the doc and let him make the decision as to what you should do.

p.s. I am speaking from personal experience here.... MAKE THE CALL.

Me too

That's not a good thing. It may not be anything serious, but generally swollen ankles and feet are a sign that you aren't getting good venous return from your lower extremities.

Good Luck to you!

It sounds like you're getting plenty of good advice, so hopefully you have seen your doc already. Let us know how you're doing when you have a chance.

Edema

Carolyn, it's quite possible that if you were given IV fluids during your procedures you have residual edema from that given the fact that your ankles tend to swell anyway. Might take a few days to resolve until you're up moving around more. Unless you're having trouble breathing you're probably alright.

You know you're wired when...

You play MP3 files on your pacer.
