I Got It

Thanks folks for asking about old grumpy. I went in this morning at 10 and got my new Medtronic VERSA a little after 3 and was home by 6. Everything seems to be working fine as I'm told my color has gone from a kind of ashen gray to a rosey pink, you know like the young kid I am should have. I may feel better but for right now I'm so dang tired I don't yet know.

My biggest problem is the old one was implanted in the muscle and was a problem to "dig" out but the new on is on top of that muscle. They result is I am pretty sore in that area, but other wise things are fine.

Will let you know more abut the VERSA tomorrow and what I am to expect. But right now my bed is looking better by the minute. Also, I got my old PM and still trying to decide if I want to make a watch fob out of it or put on a string and wear around it around my neck. After all it was my constant companion for 9 years and I not sure I'm ready to be separated from it yet. Any of you got any suggestions? No. I'm not going to put there.

Smitty.

Very happy for you Smitty. I can not even imagine how quickly you are home. I didn't get home until after a 2 wk hospital stay most of which I don't remember due to being drugged to the gills. I'm really happy for you and hope every thing is good to go.

Thanks for letting us know that everything went well, Smitty.
I never thought about what to do with the old pacemaker they take out of us. It's like an old friend and I'd feel funny just throwing it away.....Actually, maybe we should recycle it like we are supposed to recycle other old batteries?

Anyway, I'm happy you are doing so well.

Take care,
Suze
