best buy stores!

I suffer from anxiety too...but everytime I go to Best Buy, or similar places, I start feeling weird for a few minutes or seconds after entering the store...any idea?

After that it goes away.  The sensation is like a little faster heart beat, like being anxious...or could it be from all the electronics items like tv and stuff that they have there.

Thanks

My brother has a pacemaker and he has set off the alarm as he walked in and out of Home Depot store twice. He then pointed to his pacemaker and they let him continue. It appears that they knew some pacemakers set off the alarm. Maybe it has something to do with the pacemaker adjustments as to how much current you need to shock the heart to beat.

I kow how you feel. I have had my icd for 6 months now and I would go into a panic attack when I would get near the cashier at a grocery store and other stores and I don't know why. It is getting better now so I think it will be just a matter of time to get my confidence back. So your not alone. I hope this helps you. Good luck!

I posted about a year ago with my experience in Best Buy. When I entered the store, no problem but when I walked into area where they have the computers set up and other electronics I felt awful. Almost like an anxiety attack, my heart was skipping and acting very strange... So I walked out of store to see if I felt better. Yup sure did..... Went back in to same area, same weird feeling. So I left. (-: When I posted this, a lot on here said nonsense shouldn't happen...well?? It did and I know how I feel and how my heart behaves with my pacer and this wasn't normal. I think the electro magnetic fields are so strong in those types of stores, that they do affect us. Sue

Happened to me too!

Hi,
l had a similar feeling when l went into a large shop in the basement of a shopping centre a few mths back.
There was a lot of electrical stuff there & l just felt really weird & it felt as though there was all sorts of strange rhythms going on in my heart (a lot more & a lot stronger than usual) l was fine once l left the shop. l am lucky l dont suffer with anxiety at all & so l am pretty certain my experience wasn't caused by that.
There is another member from the UK l think it is Ian if l remember rightly who also had similar "problems" with certain shops, maybe he can give you his experience.
All the best Sue x

thanks for the good advice !

theft detection systems ??

Somewhere i read that you should walk through the theft detection systems without stopping. (usually at the entrance and exits). However, it is unlikely that anything in a store could have that big of an effect. I think it is the prices.

You know you're wired when...
