fludrocortisone meds

Hi all,

It is now almost 12 months since the pacemaker implant. Everything is going very well and I am now back up to about 270 kilometres per week on the bike. With the world cycling champs on here in Australia at the moment I am even more motivated to get out and ride.

However I do have one question. The cardiologist has me on fludrocortisone medication each day and I seem to be suffering some ill effects of this. I notice that the skin is much more flakey and I regularly suffer from pimples on the back and arms. Somebody recently mentioned that this may be related to the medication I am on. I was wondering if anybody else has any knowledge of this.

May Be Acne

The literature for fludrocortisone list acne as one of the possible side effects. The description of your problem sounds like it may be acne, so if you agree maybe you should see the doctor.
