Atenolol

Does anyone have any experience with accidentally missing a 25mg dose? It says not to stop taking abrupty...but I've only been on it for 3 days....I forgot a day.

Should be fine I think.....thought I'd ask!
Thanks

Yeah you'll be fine. Have missed a dose a few times myself and it's no big deal. Dr's say to just take it when you remember.

wenditt ~ I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten new meds/dosages. I so dislike taking any meds/pills/potions. The Dr. always just said take your med(s) when you think of it, unless it is w/i a few hours of your next dose. I have tried remembering, buying special pill carriers w/day p.m./a.m. pockets, etc. I still forget once in a great while. My atenolol is for BP so my BP may get a lil' off for a couple of hours. Not to worry. I am still kickin' ~ ~

COUMADIN/WARFARIN users: Do NOT take a missed dose. My doctors, PM techies, INR techies, etc. tell me it is rat poisoning. It was explained to me, "when given to a rat, it causes stomach bleeding", so if you miss your regular dose, do not take one until your next prescribed dose. Two doses in a row could cause you major damage/illness.

No problem there. Just take your next scheduled dose at the proper time.

Since you were able to ask the question it's probable that no damage was done
