pacer sticking out

My pacemaker was placed in a spot that has some serious scar tissue, so it won't lie flat. It's on it's side and sticks out VER MUCH. Since it's directly under my right breast, it's very difficult to wear a bra.

Any idea on how to make this lie flat without wearing an ace bandage around my body, directly under my breasts as the cardiologist suggested, for the next six months?

Hard to understand

Usually pacemakers lie flat and a stitch is put in place to hold them. Is your doctor just hoping things will settle down.? An xray will show how the pm is sitting.
Should you really be expected to put up with this discomfort?

The pacemaker is supposed to lie flat, and there is a stitch to keep it in place, but I guess that the scar tissue is stronger than the stitch because it is turned on it's side. X-rays show that it's on it's side. The cardiologist thinks it "may" settle down, but who knows how long that will take or if it even will settle down. I guess I just have to wait and suffer though it. Not much else that can be done. Thank you for writing. :)

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
