shortness of breath

Hi I just got my pc 9/16/09 I had a/v block my pulse got down to 35-42 for about 3 weeks, I had weakness and shortness of breath. I thought after the surgery my shortness of breath would be gone, it is a whole lot better but I feel like I still have some SOB has this happened to any one?

A bit more info is needed. What type of pacemaker do you have and what chambers is it pacing? Any other heart complications? I did have terrible SOB episodes years ago and I know when it takes you to the verge of unconsciousness it ca be very frightening, so I have a great deal of sympathy for people with SOB. Also it may take some time for your heart to "pick up" but also it is more likely that your pacemaker needs a good "tune up" by the docs and techs. Cheers Peter

Thanks

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
