How long on leads?

My husband was told he had to wait 6 weeks for the leads to be solidly in his heart with scar tissue. It will be 3 weeks next week and just wondering how restricted he needs to be for the next 3 weeks? And, unrelated to leads, how soon after the pacemaker does one usually get involved in the "pacemaker clinic" and start to get adjustments? We have an appt. after Thanksgiving, but that seems pretty far out...
thanks!

Do shoulder rolls but dont lift arm up high, better to be safe than sorry, 3 more weeks will soon go.

The two things to avoid the first 6 weeks are raising the arm above shoulder level and lifting weight with the arm on the side of the implant- things that would possibly cause the leads to pull. If the dr approves it, he should be able to get back to mostly normal activity and possibly light exercise by now.

I get mine checked every 3 months. I know it was checked at the hospital before I was released but don't really remember after that, it's been a while. If he's not having any symptoms, a few more weeks doesn't seem too far away. Don't be shy about calling them if you have questions sooner.
