daughter has pm

Hi,

My 5 year old daughter had a medtronic dual lead pacemaker implanted 6 days. To make a long story short....she has been fainting for the past year an half. In August she had reveal device implanted to record her heart when she fainted. Well, it work! Last Tuesday she fainted at school. We went to children's hospital for a routine check up and ended up staying. She is on her way to recovery.

My husband also has a pacemaker. He has ha his for 10 yers.

I found this site while trying to get some answers. So glad I found it.

Hi,
I wanted to welcome you to this amazing club. I can't imagine at all what you have had to face as a mother and wife.
I know that there are other parents on here of young children with pacemakers. I hope your daughter recovery is fast and that you are also able to get rest.
I have not had a pm too long myself about 3 years. Though am here if you have any questions if I can be of any help.
I wish you the best and will be praying for your family.

Blessings,
Tammy

This site can do wonders for you when you need help, or support. I know it saved the day for me when I first was implanted. Don't hesitate to ask questions on the board, but you can also find a wealth of information by using the "keyword" search tab.

Your daughter will bounce back in no time. Children are so resilient in surprising ways compared to us adults. I'm glad that they were able to diagnose her problem, because it seems as if it's been a rough year for all of you.

Happy and safe healing,
Angelie

I was just wondering. What is the reason your husband and child has a pacemaker. Where about in the world are you?

You know you're wired when...

You have a high-tech ticker.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
