I had been scheduled for a follow up mri this year but since i had my pacemaker inplanted this past October I know that can't be done.
Any other options? It's for a head/brain scan.
Thanks Finn

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
What In Place Of MRI

I guess there is the Cat-Scan, Pet-Scan or X-Ray. Unlike the MRI these devices do not create the electromagnetic field which is harmful to most pacemakers/defibrillators. Whether these are suitable substitutes or not for a MRI I don't know, but I'm sure your doctor can tell you.
