Pace Maker

My Pm was inserted in November 2007 and am 73 years of age. At the inception of PM there was a thumping/pounding sesation in the whole of my chest on heavy movement such as a bumpy car ride. It then subsided and now two years later I get this sensation very frequently.

Should I consider replacing the PM.

Sensitivity to motion

This sounds like the Rate Response is turned on in the pacer and not properly adjusted. Rate response senses body motion and uses it to determine HR. It is only needed if your natural pacemaker isn't functioning.

By any chance did the recently problem start after a checkup? Some docs or techs will turn RR on "just in case".

I saw the doctor only when i got this sensation. He told me to take an angiogram and this showed I have no blocks in my arteries. Therafter the doctor adviced me to get used to living with this sensation. But this is troubling me. Thanks Frank for the concern.
