after kidney stone operation 2 meds caused massive heart attack and death revived and one stint 3 strokes next 30 days all in 2007. 2008 brought blackouts and seizures and 20 hospital stays, chemically coated stint became 65% blocked with scar tissue and seizures on cath table stopped repairs. 2009 brought more blackouts and seizures finally given amiodorne and controlled them long enough to get new stints 3 of them oct.2009 then nov.2009 pacemaker/defib. Questions: since implant much pain at site have trouble lifting anything, several times a day sharp pains under left arm pit, every nite numbness in right side arm hand leg feet knee cap. still very weak and run down many nite time leg cramps and little sleep from it, sleeping pills do not work. I can still feel pacemaker in my neck area when it goes off when does that feeling subside????? When does implant site stop hurting??????Cold weather has reaked havoc on my breathing and stamnia, first defib shock dec. 18 2009 during snow and ice storm i was outside. Is this normal????? Have had pacemaker adjusted 6 times since install heart function was 29% has gone to just over 35% doctor has mentioned heart transplant- I have been accepted into stem cell heart implant injection program in Flordia, my doctor says that is way out there in treatments and success program has been successful to 75% regrowth of heart muscle 70 of us in new program I can't start until 90 days after pacemaker and last stints
orginal stint clogged 80% at 2 years with scar tissue chemically coated stint plavix 4 asprin every day, have others had this same problem???????? Asprin,lycentapril,corage,amordorone,crestor(causes me side effects),plavix could any of these cause weakness and nite time leg cramps any one else have this problem???????? Been to more doctors than I can count to get to this point two different heart groups got second opinion after first heart group had me in hospital 3 times early 2008 for pacemaker then did not do it finally went to 2nd opinion and new heart group said i should have had pacemaker 16 months earlier got it and new stints with in 60 days of switch, why such a difference of opinion and hesitation????????? They claim they did not do it due to non miligent brain tumor found in 1990 has not grown in 10 years heart group decided three time since pacemaker would stop MRI of brain tumor no pacemaker, no I find out MRI's done at Duke and at University of Flordia on patients with pacemakers any one had MRI after pacemaker?????
