Update from G.P

Hi everyone,
Saw my G.P today and essentialy she was upset and confused like I was that they cancelled the appointment with the EP and yet not follow up with cardiology. I have this event recorder and no follow up with cardiology. She was upset since she is a G.P and can't totally read an EKG except to be able to tell what type of rhythm I'm in. She did get the report from the hospital and according to her it has shown some a-fib and SVT and my usual bradycardia, but sometimes really slow so since she doesn't know what the next steps are she is going to get in touch with my cardiologist since he hasn't called me and let me know what he says. She is concerned because of the miscommunication with everyone. She did mention something about pacemaker, but not sure. She feels that since she and my cardiologist were in agreement that the event recorder was the next step to take to try to get to the bottom of things and that it has shown things that they weren't expecting we need to look at were we go from here and how to treat what they are seeing.
I love my G.P she is really going to bat for me and doing all the legwork for me since my doctors aren't really talking to me except for her.
Thank you to all of you for being there for me and I'll let you know what happens as I know.
Taryn

Good to hear you have your GP on her toes and in your corner!

Nice

It is very nice, but still wish I could get answers. I did get some today, but nothing definative. I would like to balme it on our medical system, but I don't think I can do that since my G.P is willing to speak to me and see me. I'm not sure what is going on and it is still frustrating.

Frustrating.

I know what you're going thru. Been there too.

But I'm glad to hear that your GP is taking things seriously and will do what she can for you.

Again...if you want, legally, those medical files are yours, and I'd be asking for copies of EVERYTHING.

Medical records

I have asked my G.P for copies of my medical recoerds from certain things and she said she would work on it. I'm seeing her again next week for other issues that I didn't want to deal with at this appointment. I did also ask her for a copy of the note/letter the EP is going to send to my cardiologist and hopefully her so that I can also understand why he won't see me and I can have it in writing because it was total miscommunication on his part and I want to have it as proof that he won't see me in case someone tells me to go back to him. At least then I can show them the note and tell them that he won't see me and they will hopefully understand.
