Hi Guys,
It's Bram again. Just wanted to give you a short (I hope) update on Taryn. I also wanted to thank you from both my family and myself. We have been so touched by the outpour of support from this group. It has been amazing. I understand some of you have had some difficulties emailing her, the email hasn't worked very well. Her personal email address again is tsimbrow@yahoo.ca. Please feel free to email any time and I will read them to her since I'm there and at her bedside everyday.
Anyways, update for today. They have done more tests and they have found a blood clot in her leg and her brain which didn't cause a stroke which is amazing, only really bad headaches and some nausea. she does have a fever and her potassium is down. she is still breathing on her own and her O2 sats are better tonight. She has just fallen asleep and I thought I would write.
As for her kidneys, they did a CT which didn't show much. they think that once the fluid goes down things will be better she is outputting urine like crazy now which is a great sign, but she is also getting lasix. They don't think the lasix is doing this. It is contributing, but they think her kidneys just started working after one dialysis last night. She is much less swollen. She says she feels good and is ready to go home, but she knows she can't until they figure things out.
