Post Operative Conditioning and Healing

Hi Everyone,

I am working on a program both pre and post op for anyone getting surgery. However, having just had a pacer and lead procedure, I am designing one specific for pace and defib recipients.

I would love to hear from you on when you started to add back any forms of exercise, including your approximate age.

As well, are there things you did different the second, third, or fourth time round that aided your recovery.

I like to speak direct to the people experiencing and living this - and gather as much input as possible.

If you want to know more about me: www.the2ndact.ca

Looking forward to your comments and input.

Have a great, great weekend!

Exercise with pacemaker

by Cyclefool - 2020-01-25 21:32:51

WouldI had my three lead pacemaker installed December 9,2019. I am an avid bicyclist. I just celebrated my 76th birthday.

I started walking and riding on stationary bicycle three weeks after my surgery and took my first post operative road ride today. An easy, fairly level 23 mile ride. I felt good with no problems. I would be interested in any information on coming back to fitness with a pacemaker.
