I.D.?

I just had a pacemaker installed and I want to get a bracelet or pendant to advise others, should I passout as I frequently exercise. Any good sources?

Mike, I looked at that website. I very much like these ID bands. Great for men and women who are active.

Thanks.

I have several id tags from nstyle that I wear with the bead bracelets from Laurens Hope. They're more narrow than the ones from LH and they come in colors other than red. I have them engraved with my name, PACEMAKER and the number for my online medical record from american medical.

I like the online record because if things change, I just update it online rather than getting a new tag, and it holds a lot more information than you could engrave- emergency contacts, drs, meds, surgery history, allergies. You can buy just the service or it comes free with any purchase. I got one of the inexpensive sports bands which I wear at the beach and to work out.

The way I did mine probably sounds like overkill but I never used to wear my bracelet! Now that I have an assortment of colors and styles, I'm much more likely to put it on. But that's just me :o)

I wear a Road ID wrist band. Velcro with metal engraved tag. Has Dr. Name and number, Wifes name and number, ICD/PM Dependent, Coumadin and at the bottom it says The Beat Goes On just for grins. Only problem is the velcro smells sweaty. I like it.

Med Alert and Road ID

by FirstDuely - 2010-02-20 01:02:36

Have had Medic Alert for a long time. This past Christmas my son (a road bike rider) gave me a Road ID band because I also ride a skinny tire bike. He has one as well but no pacer.
Plus I carry cards in my wallet....so I am well covered if I should ever need to be identified quickly.
