Warm glass of milk

Months before the pacemaker went in and even 4 weeks afterwards, I have had problems sleeping through the night. I am not on any meds and refuse to take anything for sleeplessness. My one friend told me to drink a warm glass of milk before bedtime so last night I had a warm glass of milk about 2 hours before I went to bed.

Well, I had the best night's sleep in I don't know how long! Why didn't I ever know about this simple remedy ....

Anyone else have any simple remedies for sleeplessness? or any other problems they would like to share?

Hi Heartu - I've been having the same issues. I'm glad you asked. I can't seem to sleep as well as I used to. Wondering if it's because of our faster heart rate?

I think I heard something about lavender?

I think Johnson & Johnson even has a baby lotion with lavender in it that helps babies sleep!!!

Just a thought.

Grandma's recipe

My Grandmother used this on us since we were very young till I got sick of milk in my late teens. This was thought to be a myth and wives tale, but it truly works. Depending on your age group it may be a new thing or an oldie but goodie. Keep up the good sleep.

God Bless

Pookie I think you're right

I think you are correct. I did hear something about lavender and spraying lavender scent on your bed pillows. There are a couple of lavender farms near me and I may visit one to see what they have.

Keep all suggestions coming. I am writing them all down.

i supposed we consider it as a myth or a ''believe it or not'' tell tales until i did try it to myself. I also have this sleeping problem.i drink milk but dont work for me, i drink red wine still not a good remedy..name it and i probably tried it..there are times when i feel sleepy and want to go bed but when i do all i did s just eyes closed but my mind s wide awake..i roll over bed. Stretch, curl, sit, beed again until dawn and just sleep n few hours..until someone told me to try talking to my subconcious mind and said before closing my eyes that simple words ''am going to sleep now and so allw me to rest'' it was amazing when i qoke up at morning i did fall asleep without problem i used to encounter...try u can see for yourself and then u can or will believe it or not:
