The Pacemaker

You were warm and welcoming the day that I met you.
I was there to help you out and knew exactly what to do.

We've had our bitter arguments even though I've always won.
Tangled in the compromise, I always did what must be done.

Could this really be happening? I can't believe that this is real.
How can they throw away our life after knowing how I feel?

I love you more than anything. You're all I've ever known.
Don't leave me now after all these years.
I can't survive out on my own.

I have always loved you and you've kept me near your heart.
But now just 'cause I'm old and worn they're tearing me apart.

They say, my love, that I must leave you now.
Out the same door I entered in.
Good bye, my life, my purpose,
My warm hearted human friend.

It never occurred to me my pm would be offended when I got a new battery! LOL I really need to be more courteous of my friend, huh?

Thanks for the laugh!

I have never quite looked at my PM that way.
I was actually quite lucky that after my last recharge my surgeon actually let me keep my dead battery...lol. I just mentioned how cool my kids would think it was and that was all it took.
They have taken it in to science class and show it to all of their friends who come to the house for the first time.
Guess my old PM knows it is still loved... ;-)

You know you're wired when...

You need to be re-booted each morning.
