Something is wrong

Came home from the ER about an hour ago. This morning after coming back from a walk with the dog, my heart began to race up to about 150. Since I have a pm for 3rd degree heartblock as soon as the HR went above 150 it put me into heartblock.

Everything was fine in the ER. The only adjustment madeto the pm was to see what the atrium was doing .

So almost as soon as I came home it started again. HR went up to 140 just sitting. It is going up and down and I feel miserable. Just did a phone interrogation and waiting to hear what to do. Anyone possibly know what could be happening?

Thanks and I love you guys!

No advice but I hope it goes away soon!! {{{hugs}}} If the pm is throwing you into a block, you're going to feel crappy til they either program it so it doesn't or get your rate down so it's not an issue. Did you have caffeine or ginko or something else that could set you off?Let us know how you're doing.

Thanks Tracey!

It's 3:45 pm here and I am feeling better. The phone interrogation did not show anything. Yet I had my husband take my pulse when this happened and he said in the first 5 - 10 seconds he counted at least 30 beats and then it slowed down rapidly. So when he took it for 30 seconds it appeared ok.

Drank a couple of glasses of Gatorade and ate something. Everything has been ok now. Even when I walked upstairs HR went up a little as normal, but then came down as it usually does. This morning after I went upstairs the HR kept climbing and then I went into 2:1 block to bring it down.

I don't know what felt worse the rapid beats or the 2:1 block.

Keep me posted

A very similar thing happened to me today! I was lightly exercising-let me stress the LIGHTLY LOL, heartbeat was fine. Took a break and all of a sudden, I got dizzy, the sweats, shaking hands for about 20 seconds.

Went to the dr and all she could come up with was that my blood pressure was low and most likely the cause.

But like you...my resting heart rate went through the roof!!!!

Would love to know what you can dig up on this..

Feel better

Gatorade

I wanted to answer this question for a previous science fair project, conducted experiments and found that, yes Gatorade does increase pulse rates. Then main thing in Gatorade and why it is good when doing sports is that it has electrolytes which you sweat off while exercising.

me too

When you find out whats happening, let me know cause I've had the same symptoms for over a week. When my heart starts beating out of control I find myself feeling drained.

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
