Pacemaker EMF query

Hi

Had had my dual chamber pacey since 2003 & have remained working in the electricity industry since with great caution at times due to the EMF I can get hit with. The latest curly is that our trucks have just changed over to new remotes for our EWP's & since then I am getting violently ill, dizzy, nauseous all the fun stuff when something is transmitting too close when the trucks pull in & take off. My question is - has anyone else ever had any probs with remotes making them ill? Apparently the boys at work are having a lot of trouble with the frequencies on these trucks so much so that one remote can affect different trucks & open & close peoples garage doors. Does anyone have any idea what the frequencies are that can affect the pacemaker? My Dr finds my yearly visits amusing as he doesn't have any of patients in Australia that have successfully remained working in the electricity industry. Any info would be great.
Thanks.

EMF question

If I was in your place- contact Medtronic. I have called them several times to ask questions. They even e-mailed back the same answer they told me. That way I had proof on paper. If your device was not made by Metronic then check the maker of your brand.
I have found the local techs do not have answers to diffcult questions so call the company.
Good Luck

Hi

My workplace is being really good about this & taking it seriously. We've ascertained it is the power packs transmitting for the remotes on the bucket trucks that seems to be giving off signals that is making me quite ill. So now they are going to take formal readings as various distances & refer back to the manufacturer further. I did contact Medtronics in both Australia & the USA, America gave me more info than Aussie but it was all very generic. My Cardiologist is trying to find out more for me as well. I will let you know what the outcome is...
Cheers

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
