unwanted pacers / icd's

Have any of ya'll seen those annoying commercials about sending your unwanted gold in and exchanging it for cash?

I see in the future:

"Just send in your old pacemakers / icd's for cash. Call the number on your screen now, for a free quote, and information packet. Bonus: Extra funds for recalled Guidant"
"I never knew that my old pacer was worth that much, now I can get that BMW I always wanted."

not only do i have a 2006 model medtronic adapta but i also have 2 slightly used 2001 and 2002 steel hips left one soon to be replaced i think. now that should be worth gobs of money. haha jessie

I just hope it doesn't become like buildings, etc when people steal the wiring out of them...

I can see the headline now "man attacked, knocked out and attackers steal his ICD. It is believed they stole it for it's scrap metal content".
