Frequent Pain

Since having my pacemaker I have had sharp pain in my shoulder, sometimes lasting a few seconds until a few minutes. This had all but stopped untill recently.

I have now experienced over the past few weeks it up to 12 times a day with no apparent cause. The only thing I can think is that I've had to start carrying a heavy bag around with me. The strap doesn't go over the pacemaker but could it be pulling the muscle to make it hurt?

I'm worried a wire may have come lose or something, does anyone have any advice?

Hi there,
I live in New Zealand and we are able to phone the technician whenever we have a problem, are you able to do that? or even your doctor might be able to shed some light on the problem. But first port of call would definately be the hospital technicians.

good luck, I hope it settles down soon

PM Manufacturer ~ ~

You should be able to call the PM Manufacturer and/or the techs & get a 'broad' ideal what they may think.

If the pain continues, it could also be a rotary cuff, as my Dr. suggested to my pain at one time. The pain has gone away now. I suspected some type of arthuritis (sp?) in my shoulder or even a case of bursitis.

Be sure & have this professionally checked out so you can have the pain corrected before it becomes worse.
