I am in Afib. ablated & have a PM & take the rare Ambien & it doesn't bother me either. It also has a lot of side affects reported so you may want to Google it & look them up. One strange one is sleep walking or driving w/o memory of it. Can be dangerous. Good luck.

ambien

Hi,

I take ambien or something the next month in the same category and I have not had any negative reactions except for dreaming and then going into afib. Crazy dreams and not very restful so I am now trying to have alternative options. Once I found there was such a medication for zero sleep - bring on the drugs. I have not had the sleep walking and I remember everything but my speach can sometimes be alittle slurred. I have heard of people having reactions - you can always start with a 5 mg. dose and if it works great. Always talk to the dr. because he may have other options and there is always the 7 day free trial coupons which your dr. probably has available.

I used to sleep about 4 hrs. per night and now I am up to 5 1/2 - I was getting 7 with the ambien and then when the pacemaker went in I am up for almost 3 days at a time - I speed inside and the dr. said -OH this is not caused by the pm. Yeah, sure. I am intune with what goes on inside with me and you will work it all out as well. Lunesta 3 mg. seems to be a smoother option for me. Always ask the dr.

Good luck,
Sugar/Patty

I tried it for the first time last night. It worked better then other meds I have tried. I took a very low dose.
My general practicioner had given me something else but it left me just as tired in the morning so he gave me ambien to try.
I take Multaq and have had several cardioversions with no luck. I am in AF 100% of the time.
Thanks again.

I take 10 mg of generic ambien a night and I love it. I go to sleep quickly and usually only wake up once during the night to use the bathroom. When I get back in bed I'm sound asleep again. I usually get 6-7 hrs of sleep a night. I wake up ready to go, no hangover. Before I would either not be able to go to sleep or wake up at 2 or 3 a.m. and not be able to sleep. I'd surf the net until 5 a.m when I would give up and just get dressed. At one time I literally begged my Dr. for a sleeping aid and he let me have Ambien but only a few pills. Now I have a prescription and sleep is good. I don't know if this is good or not, but it works for me, along with the ambien I take either tylenol pm or advil. It is so good not to dread going to bed.
