In the Hopstial

Hello all!!! Its me Brooke :) well I dont know why i am smiling, i have been in tears for 24 hr now..I passed out yesterday evening around yeah now.. my children freaked and my littlest thought i was dead...EMS wisked me away to the local hosp. where they had kep me till a few hours ago. The transferred me to UT where my cardio is.
UGHHH My PM is working fine...its holding me steady @ 60bpm, sometimes I fell around 57..but just as the doc ordered my PM bumped me back up to 60. BUT I also had a stress test, not good, my BP went to 228/78 felt like my chest was going to explode....I keep getting the same story...this syncope thng cant be fixed...BP will always run low and I may get lightheaded, maybe even faint..but it cant be fixed...just stay well hydrated and it could lessen the chances of it being a problem.
PM like i said checks out well, but we are doing the angioplasty (i think that whats it is) Im not sure of the name, but they will go through my leg, and take a looksy at my heart and veins. To see if there is some kind of blockage or problem..I dont know. I am just a mess. I am scared. BUT like I said, my PM is doing its job...all is healing well with it...we just need to find out what kinda problem I have with my heart.

Just wanted to update ya'll.

Get Well Brooke

I went through the worst morning ever too but sounds like yours was way worse than mine. I hope you get back to normal really soon Brooke. It really does suck going through all this. I don't understand what is happening with me either. Worst day I have had since I got my PM put in. Sure hope it gets better than this. All the best to you Brooke and get well.

Sorry to hear what you are going through. Well maybe when they do the angioplasty they may find what is causing the problem and fix it so you don't have to worry about something like this happening again and getting your children scared.

I know you really don't want them to find something on one hand, and on the other you kinda do. It is a catch 21 situation. Hopefully by this time tomorrow you will be back home and on the mend.

Keep us posted. Love and good wishes out to you.
Marcia

LOVE YOU!!

Awww sweetie, I love you! I am sorry that this is all going on, especially with all the other stresses you have had in life. I guess there is never really a good time for this type of thing, though. I am glad I was able to talk with you, though. I am glad they brought you food, too. Its amazing how much easier it is to be in the hospital when we aren't starved. I hope you get some clear answers tomorrow! Call me if you get lonely or if you just need someone to feel sorry for you. =) Sending love from Montana to Tennessee!
~Jessi (and Shawn & the boys, too. We are all cheering for you!)

The did angioplasty before I had the PM installed and no blockages. I have always had low blood pressure. I have viral dialated cardiomyopathy which did the damages. I have had many "episodes" of dizzy, light headed prior to and since the PM. I immediately sit down when the dizziness occurs. Sometimes even a few steps makes the difference. They took my blood pressure laying down, then sitting, then slowly standing and it was at 76/53..and I wasn't dizzy yet, so they know that a sudden drop in my blood pressure is causing it. They have adjusted my medications and it has helped tremendously. I've been told, and I believe, it takes time to get everything "in synch" with meds, tests and procedures. I was an extremely healthy human being before this virus took it's toll on my heart. If you get up, be aware that the slightest bit of dizziness will be followed by ringing in your ears, tingling in lips, hands and you will start to black out. Be very careful and hang in there for the solution. Sending good thoughts
