temp pacemaker

Thank you to all who responded to my recent post. Kind of scarey. I did go this am to see the surgeon. He took a culture and said that he needs to go in and have a look. He looked at the site and kept saying "this is really weird". that was so helpful. He said he would page the Infectious disease consultant and talk to my cardiologist, then one of them will call me to let me know when it will be done. They told me yesterday to stop the antibiotics, also Plavix, so I'm waiting. He thinks they would want to put in a temp PM on the right side, but did not say anything about the rest (staying in the hospital, etc). I'm nervous about this...last time I was onVancomycin for over a month, but had it at home. I just wan tthis to go away! I realize it's also a problem that I have diabetes and have also been on immunosupressant meds for a long time. Needless to say I have stopped those for now.It helps to know you all are out there and can relate to these kinds of problems. nobody I know here has a pm.
Thanks again for the support,
ro

Hi hunny I am here praying for ya that they get all this resolved!! Uhmm its scarey I KNOW to have a doc look at you and say "this is really weird" I sat for a whole day and cried last week when the docs at my local hosp. kept saying "i dont know" to me and then telling me the syncope is something they cant fix. (BP stays very very low) So yeah I am there with ya. But I am praying for ya. and remember...... "any day above ground is a great day!!!"
