Hi Pacees,
I am still on IV antibiotics after surgery 4/6 to bury the pacemaker deeper. The staples are out and the incision looks good, but this big hematoma at the site is still hard and bothering me. The surgeon said not to worry, it will go away, but I am wondering WHEN? How long does it take? I can't find any info online. I am also tired and short of breath all the time. I'm really hoping the end of this stuff is near. Just wondering if the hematoma thing has happened to any of you and how long it took to go away.

Are you still in the hospital getting the antibiotics? Something doesn't sound right about the situation. Especially the shortness of breath and fatigue.

Are you just going along with the doctor on whatever he says during his 5 minute, several hundred dollar billing? It's about time to sit him down and ask what he thinks is happening and what makes him think things will get better. In today's corporate medical environment You need to treat them like a used car salesman. Pleasant, but firm.
