Interference question

Since I have the potential for heart block, I have a pacemaker. It kicks in when my pulse drops below 60, which happens on occasion.

I was going to buy a infrared pulsar wave massager for my upper back and neck problems. I went to the Medtronics website to see if it would interfere with my device, but it wasn't listed.

I plan on calling them on Mon., but in the meantime, I'm wondering if anyone here has had issues with hand held electronic infrared massagers?

Thanks

would you please let me know when you find out? I have one of these also and forgot that I forgot about.

Maybe manufacturers should start putting warning labels on there electric/electronic products for pacemaker recipients, unless they already do and I am ignorant of it.

No problem

I called Medtronics, and when I described the massager the woman immediately said that they are not a problem. I figured she must have heard this question before.

I have seen warning labels on occasion, but since so many people now have implants of some sort, manufacturers would do us all a favor by adding them. It would certainly be more informative than the obvious - don't use your electric appliance in the bathtub warning!

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
