Batteries

I don't know about ya'll but I'm glad that my device runs on a battery.
Can you imagine having to wind yourself up everyday?

Now Pacer Chicks, this has got to be the best idea I've read in a very, very long time! hehe

If I do the stepper for 30 min. morning noon and night, I would be wound up for at least 24 hours! Awesome idea.

Have a life filled day! (Battery life that is) ha ha

cheers, Pacergirl

Interesting idea... what if they did it like a Rolex and made it self winding? If you work out three times a week, your battery will last forever!

Windup is silly

Everyone knows if we didn't have batteries we would just plug our pacers into the wall. No worries about winding up at all, but taking a shower could get a little interesting. :)

Well, maybe then I'd excercise more. (don't do as much as I should)

So Patch, are you a member than "generates" wind?

Self 'Winding

Tracey,
Your idea isn't very far from reality. There are devices that generate electricity by moving a magnet inside a coil of wire. This is already being considered for use in pacemakers and other implanted devices.

My father used to tell me I was so lazy I couldn't keep a self winding watch wound so that would rule me out!

Frank, I hope you're right! Every time I've had a battery change, I've said a little prayer that they'll come up with some cool technology before this one dies so my next one will be my last. Hasn't happened yet but I'll always be the optimist!

You know you're wired when...

You invested in the Energizer battery company.
