First Day Back at Work

Today is going to be my first day back at work since the pacemaker. Nothing too stressful: I'm a university lecturer and I'm giving half of one lecture, so probably will only be there for a couple of hours.

But I'm so worried and anxious that the tachycardia I've had since the procedure is really going to play up. Am really hoping my beta-blocker keeps everything stable. It's 8am here in London, and I'm not teaching til 3pm. I feel like it's my first day at a new job. And it's going to be long day.

Just needed to tell someone!

I'm sure everything will be fine. I find that waiting for things is way more stressful than actually doing them. Let us know how you go on
Best wishes Jan

Have a great 1st day back at work!!
I remember being SO worried my "episodes" would return! Oh my! I had ,had several while driving (before the PM) so when I started driving after the PM I was a nervous wreck! I associated driving with everything bad that had happened. Ugh. I even changed my routes!
Finally I just sucked it up and basically said *&^%$ it!!
LOL
Things have been fine, and I'm sure your day will be great too!
Let us know how it goes.

Relax and enjoy having a job that you can do, even with a PM!

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
