pm site irritation 3 months +

At three months plus I am still having a painful pm site and just wondering if this is the usual. It bothers me many times a day. It is hard to describe what is going on . I have tried the pain pills they gave me at the hospital, asprin, tylenol and the such and no relief. I wonder if anyone has ever had massage therrpy and if it helped at all. Or has anyone had any other methods that helped to relieve the irritation that seems to go on every day for me. I would appreciate the help. Thank you very much!

I would not mess with it as far as massage therapy. You need to let it settle and heal. A massage therapist probably will not help as they can do therapy on this type of a surgical site. The pain should have subsided. Have you seen your physician? They should be able to help you with this whether it is a mental pain or physical. Sometimes we are too sympathetic to ourselves, especially if you have a low pain tolerance, and seem to be in pain a lot. Leave the area alone and let it heal without any disturbance and see what happens. I would also follow up with Dr. I was in no pain a couple of days after and didn't need nor wanted to take anything. Good Luck and God Bless.
