Pacemaker/ Defibrillator

I had my PM/Defibrillator put in on 2009. I am 35 year old male and would like to know why my PM/Defibrillator feels like it has never healed or set into place. It is always tender and puffy. I can not even lay on my left side when I sleep. (EVER)
I do not have insurance (waiting on SSI). So if anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. P.S. my pacemaker goes off(works) kicking my heart back into rhythm at least 5 to 9 times a day. Does this happen to anyone else. If so how long are the batteries going to last with it working like that. Thank you Johnny

although I am a big guy, they told me my ejection fraction was 30 percent and it shocks me that much because my heart was going out of rhythm quite often. I want a second opinion but like i said waiting on insurance. They told me 33 percent of my heart is dead and the Dr actually told me my heart pumps enough blood to sub stain a small snake. but the point being every time it goes off it really hurts and I'm out for the rest of the day. thank you for writing me back Johnny i really thank you for the comment!!!

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
