Spam warning

I've been receiving a lot of "junk mail" in my internet email junk mail box that I felt I should share with ya'll as well. It just started yesterday.
This is what the email looks like:

donotreply@pacemakerclub.com
in the subject line it states " a comment has been made on your pacemaker club post"

I marked it as safe, then it immediately turned into spam asking me to "pick out my new 3G iPhone".

Just wanted to make ya'll aware of this. These spammers sure are tricky, and I'd hate for them to take advantage of us here by disguising spam as Pacemaker Club mail.

Blake, what should a legitimate email from Pacemaker Club look like? I've forgotten.

I wish I had not deleted all of those weird emails that I was referring to. I could have swore that when I marked it as safe, it turned into an ad.....
But it is entirely possible that I clicked onto something else without realizing it.
I just went back to my email account, and already the emails look different, and are as you describe.

That's strange. Thanks for clearing that up, Blake.
I appreciate how ya'll are constantly trying to improve and update this site. Wonderful......

We added new functionality that will notify members when they receive a private message or reply to a posting. The default is for members to receive these notifications. If you wish to opt out of receiving them, go to Manage account in the member menu (top right of page) after you login and unselect the check boxes.

Sorry for the confusion.

When you deleted it the one below moved into its position and you though the original had changed to spam.

frank, the smelly engineer

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

It's much better to live with a pacemaker than to risk your life without one.
