5 weeks post-op

Well it's been 5 weeks since my surgery and really do feel great! I went for my check up on the 25th of june (surgery was june 3rd) my incision healed nicely into a not so noticeable scar. The pain i was having early on in my chest is completely gone. Whenever the lead in ventricle goes off I can really feel the beating and kinda get sick to my stomach (nothing major) but they did turn it up another 10 milliseconds for heart response. They are wanting to turn my PM voltage back to 2.5 but as of yet haven't and we may not be able to. frankly i'm not sure if that's good/bad or just the way it is LOL I can still feel when my heart starts to slow down, but it's so awesome to feel my pacer kick in :o) and no i've no worries. I'll go back again at the end of august for my 2 month PM clinic which will mean another date wiht my sweet husband in chicago <3

Good news. You seem to be doing okay. I too can feel mine kick in. It is a great thing for me. They said I should not feel a thing but I am hypersensitive to such things and know when and everytime it kicks in. I love it and reminds me I am still alive. As for the sickness. I felt that way to. Being so hypersensitive I got sea sick really easy. It had the same effect on me. I got used to it in about 6-8 weeks. You will be used to it soon. Good luck and God Bless.

I am just grateful to God that I lived long enough to have my ICD put in. So many people are not as lucky as us; even though we sometimes don't feel lucky.
