Ouch!

Had my relocation done yesterday and came home last night. They moved it down a bit under my chest muscle.

I am so thankful for the response to my prior post. I would never have been prepared for that pain. Yesterday was very rough but today is tolerable with pain meds. Thank you for all the suggestions. I did everything you all suggested and had I not received those suggestions I don't know how I would have made it through the day. Not being overly dramatic because it hurt so bad that 2 pain meds and two morphine injections later I barely made it home.

Thanks again for all the info and support. I love this site :)

PS: now thinking twice about having implants LOL!

So sorry to hear you're in a lot of pain!!!! It should get significantly better in a few days, until then enjoy your drugs lol. {{{very gentle hugs}}} It will be so worth it when it heals and it's nice and comfortable and out of sight.

Hi
I went to a new hospital and new Dr and had my unit changed, I was in and out in 6 hrs, I didnt get to see a Dr before I as discharged ( he had a Emergency)
When the swelling went down I realized he had re sited it,
it had been lower down close to my bust and you couldnt see it, now I have this ugly bulge just under my clavicle, when I lie down it very unconfortable and I toss and turn all night trying to get into a confortable position, this was done 24th Sep so I think I have given it time to settle.
Do you think I should ask for it to be moved or live with it ??

Hey Maureen,

I actually just responded to your post :). Feel free to PM if you would like. I'm still recovering but what I can feel under the swelling I expect to be much happier with the new placement!

Take care,
Heidi

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
