Concerned/worried

Hi all. Thank you for your replies to my dizziness query the other day. I am quite concerned about it all now as this past week it has definately got worse & the last 2 days the dreaded chest pain has come back! Having had none since the ablation 8 weeks ago (except once about 2 weeks after), I am quite upset it has come back. I try & tell myself it could be indigestion but deep down I've had enough chest pain to know this probably isn't indigestion. I get lightheaded with the dizziness & feel faint when I get it. My BP was only 80/50 the other week.

I'm seeing my GP in the morning (UK) to ask him to check my low BP & I will tell him about the chest pain. The Dr's at the hospital had told me to get in touch with them if my dizziness doesn't improve or gets worse. I was trying not to bother them, in case it's nothing, but I think I will have to get in touch with them after I've seen my GP tomorrow.

Just feeling quite worried/concerned now....

Best wishes
Janey

that is a very low blood pressure.

please don't ever think that you are bothering anyone when it comes to your health. you deserve the same medical attention as anyone else.

please ask your doctor for a tilt table test and ask for a 24 blood pressure monitor and if you have to ask to be referred to a Neurologist as they can sometimes deal with dizziness or an ENT (ear, nose, throat doctor).

it's my guess that you may have hypotension intolerance or neurocardiogenic syncope.....

it's up to us as patients to be our own advocates, and sometimes you just have to be persistent with the doctors...I always bring a list of questions.

Your body is trying to tell you something is not right, and it is their job to try and fix it.

and remember: the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

it's you health, your life, and you should not be living like this....in my opinion.

I went thru something similar for 5+ years and now I am finally getting some of my life back.

Don't give up looking for the answer.

Persistents is the key

Pookie is right, "be persistent with the doctors". I work in Electromagnetic Field Testing and talk to various heart patients all the time and they all say persistent is so important. Your life is so important and you should never hesitate to speak out when you have a professional in front of you. Many patients tell me it is helpful for them to carry a small journal around with them in a pocket, so they can write down the questions as they go.

Keep us posted!
