Interesting conversation

Funny...
I met a friend's 87 year old father this past weekend who happens to have a pacemaker as well. He's hard of hearing so I had to gently shout to him in order for him to hear me.

You should have seen the looks from people in the restaurant when we compared stories.

"I'm on my 2nd pacemaker.", he boasted proudly.

"Well, sir, I've just recovered from my 4th pacemaker surgery and I'm on my 2nd one as well."

The conversation really turned interesting and starting turning heads when we got started on battery life.

"Yeah, I've got 7 more years on my battery."

"Sir, I'm 100% dependent on mine but at my last check they said I had about 7 years left on my battery," I shouted.

Needless to say people sitting nearby got an entertaining ear full.

Just another, "You know you're wired when........." story.

Hey....ya gotta laugh.

Cute!

I had a similar conversation with Craig's boss's husband the first time I met him in a very posh restaurant. He was hard of hearing so the whole restaurant heard us discussing batteries and scars. He insisted I feel his lump and tell him if it was bigger than mine. Er, you know where mine is- no way was he feeling it LOL. And the next time I saw him, I asked how his pm was doing and he was shocked to know I knew about it, he had no memory of the other conversation.

I have a 98 yr old PM Buddy!

My brother-in-law's mother has a pacemaker and was very sympathetic when I got mine, aged 42. She is 98 now and is as sharp as a tack, with a memory for everything. It's fun to share PM stories across the generations. We've become PM Buddies.

You know you're wired when...

You are always wired and full of energy.
