3-month follow up

Yesterday I had my checkup and the interrogation print out confirmed that I have not had a A-Fib episode since July 31. I knew that I hadn’t recognized any but was tickled that the PM didn’t record any. I had 15 PVCs since the last reading on July 30 but my understanding is that they are nothing to worry about. Looks like the high dosage of Rythmol (Propafenone) 225mg 3x day and Sectral (Acebutololol) 400mg 2x day are holding the A-fib in check. I know that is probably approaching the max dosage of beta- blockers but if that’s what it takes I’m not going to complain. All-in-all I realize that I’m much better off than lots of folks with A-fib. Since I’m seventy-three and a half, I’ve had a good run and hope to have another 10+ years. I had the Dr to decrease the sensitivity of the rate response. It was at the max sensitivity and just getting up out of a chair would increase the BPM to the 80-90s so will see how the mid range sensitivity does.

I don't have AFib myself, but many members do and whatever you are doing if it's working for you, I'm happy for you.

I hope the adjustment in the rate response works well too.

It's nice to hear good news.

Take care,
Pookie
