Tracey E, C O Brady Bunch & City Slicker Farmhand - you can't know how much your comments about my SSS have helped me. I failed to mention in my first post that I was diagnosed with Right Bundle Branch at my first EKG 16 years ago and was told is was just nothing so I assumed that was true and card. doc says it's unrelated. I will accept that for whatever reason I developed SSS and have a pacemaker and will quit dwelling on how it came about and try to relax. I do walk a lot and have no other ailments.

I too was diaged with a RBBB back about 10-15 years ago. Had a full workup back then as well, complete with a test where they put me on a treadmill and took pictures of my active heart as they put dye in. Everything came back perfect but the RBBB would sometimes be there, sometimes not. Funny thing is when they found the SSS they saw NO evidence of a RBBB. 90+% for sometimes hours on end and my doc said my RBBB was probably just some genetic abnormality but who knows. Still, another interesting little factoid.

You know I am a cyclist and love this time of year. The TDF is one of my favorite sporting events and I was just thinking about how the Pacemaker Club functions a lot like a cycling team. Sometimes when someone is struggling with something his teammates will all come back to help pace him back to the group, the stronger members letting those that need help hang on their wheels as they climb, letting them ride in their slipstreams some things are a little easier for them until they are strong enough to go on their own again. Thanks to all those here who have paced me over the last year and I hope I have at least done my share at the front of the group from time to time.

Some good news for you... if the bundle branch block ever starts acting up, you've already got the fix in place :o) And yes, they're both electrical but are unrelated; one is the sinus node getting lazy, the other is signals not getting through the ventricles.
