mobile phone

Hi all,

I was wandering if any one else had any problems with getting hard palpitations when using there mobile phone even on the opposite side? I have had a pacemaker now for 11 days?

Could be PVC's

Hi Amethyst34!
I don't think it's the phone that's causing the problem, but I'm no expert. I'm deaf so I only use mine for text messaging & email. I've also had a lot of hard heartbeats recently, but I think my pacer batter is going & needs replacement. Yours might be from PVC's (Premature Ventricular Contractions) which tend to be hard or some other cause. Be sure to tell your doctor/EP about it when you see them next, which should be soon. Hope you're feeling well otherwise and your new pacemaker works well for you.

i doubt its your phone i have had a PM for 11 years always use the phone.i was told PMs are an isolated system and welding the box is the only thing that will affect it.i know when your first fitted they give you a long list of donts but i have tested most things i should not do even a 240v electric shock whilst drilling in the rain and im fine

I will start living when I have the ablation done and the pacemaker starts to work!

I took Ronaldos advice and tried with hands free, I seem fine with that, but it is definately the phone, when I put it near me it causes palpitations, when it is not they go away. very strange...
