When i got mine replaced they told me a month not to raise my arm above shoulder. As soon as the month passed I started lifting a little at a time until I felt comfortable with it. The area was still kind of sore but well worth it in the end.

You can move your arm but most docs tell us not to raise it above shoulder level for 6 weeks because it can pull the leads out of position.

Glad to see you are a new member, or you have just not had many 'posts/comments'.

My Dr. told me for about 6 - 8 weeks. This would give the wires from the PM to the heart time to 'bond' with each other and scar tissue to build around the leads so they would not pull out of the heart nor detach themselves easily, if at all.

Listen to your Dr. first, but always listent to your own body, as it is always telling you how you feel.
